IRVINGTON TO PARTICIPATE
IN NATIONAL NIGHT OUT 2007

Irvington's annual National Night Out, an event that combines fun community activities with crime awareness and prevention, will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 from 6:00 pm until 8:30. In addition to its traditional site in front of the police department on civic square, the celebration will be simultaneously held on 18th Avenue-from 22nd Street to Ellis Avenue-in promotion of the 18th Avenue Neighborhood Preservation Program.

The attractions at both sites will include vehicle displays from the Irvington Police Department and the NJ State Police, giveaways, refreshments, a pie-eating contest and McGruff the Crime Dog.

Residents are urged to keep their exterior lights on in support of the evening's activities.

The event will be held rain or shine. For more information, please call Police Director Michael Damiano at (973) 399-6545 or the Office of Public Information at (973) 399-6688.
