IRVINGTON SCHEDULES HOMEBUYERS’ SEMINAR

 

The Township of Irvington is teaming up with Countrywide Home Loans to present a first-time homebuyers’ seminar. The township’s semi-annual event will be held on Thursday, September 21 at 6 pm in the Irvington Municipal Building, located on Civic Square.

 

Topics will cover: the importance of preparing to buy a home, credit myths and management, the role of a real estate attorney, and the importance of a home inspection. The presenters will include: Denise A. Smith, senior loan officer for Countrywide Home Loans; Glayds Carden Blanks, sales associate, Hallmark Realtors; Martin E. Brodsky, Counselor at Law, Brodsky & Brodsky; and representatives from the Irvington Department of Community Development & Planning.

 

First-time buyers may qualify for up to $5000 in grant assistance through the municipal agency. Refreshments will be served and a drawing for a prize will be held. For more information and to register for the seminar, call 1-888-809-3043 ext. 7641.
