The annual Community Appreciation and Children’s Day Cookout will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2006 from noon to 6 pm at Green Terrace Park, Irvington (off Chancellor Avenue).
Children are encouraged to bring their footballs, as a special appearance will be made by David Tyree, NY Giants wide receiver and a Pro Bowl MVP. Irvington Mayor Wayne Smith will also be on hand.
The event is hosted and organized by Council Members D. Bilal Beasley, Sandra R. Jones, Lebby C. Jones and Andrea McElroy. The raindate is Sunday, July 23, 2006 from 3 pm to 7 pm. For more information, call (973) 372-2224 or (973) 393-0399.
