Dear Mayor Smith:

I would just like to commend you on the job you have done so far in our city. As you may already know, Webster Street is relatively a quiet family type of street, but we get a lot of confusion from the element on Union Avenue and Chancellor Avenue. The new precinct on Union Avenue is a much-needed entity in our neighborhood, and I know it will be a factor in stopping some of the activity on that corner and in the vicinity.

This past summer, I had the pleasure of meeting you at the Gateway Hilton. I am one of the individuals that fell victim to Barry Fauntleroy’s scheme and have had a hard time keeping my home in the process as well as having my car broken into in my own driveway. These occurrences had me thinking twice about staying in Irvington and I would do better surrendering the property, but I see that under your leadership, this town will change for the better, and I am doing whatever it takes to stay in my home.

I pray that God will continue to guide and lead you to the needs of this city and give you His wisdom in all of your decisions whether they are popular with the public or not. God bless and keep you.

Bridget Douglas
